what do you wish you would have known????


i wish i would have known that i would regret spending my money on nonsense.

i used to think that owning fancy name brand clothes & millions of movies was important. but since those clothes have been given to the poor & the movies just collect dust.

ITA with you on this one...it took me years to get out of credit card debt...we could have had a down payment at this point...

But I have absolutely no debt now!!

I also learned to not get so caught up on pleasing everyone...I learned this one with maturity

Definitely agree on the name brand clothes (but I'll NEVER give up my Coach purses )

I wish I had known how to be more patient. I didn't really learn the value of patience until I met FH. Now he does most of it for me

don't even get me started on credit card debt. i had to borrow $10,000 from FH plus a semesters tuition 2 years ago. & then a year later i had to borrow $5,000 from my parents.

luckily for me FH doesn't want any of the money back. but the $5,000 from my parents means $5,000 less for the wedding.


since then FH has taken all of my credit cards away & he has to ok every charge i make. i was super pissed off at first but i totally get it now.

even my FH says Coach bags are ok. but every single 1 i have is kept in a dust bag in a cloth box under the bed. they are all in tip top shape.

See it's opposite for us. I actually paid off FH's credit cards for him because he was in debt. I have yet to take his credit cards away, and he is getting better now, but for the most part, I'm in charge of finances.

OMG .... MY FH ONLY LEAVES MEWITH CASH :( NO CREDIT CARDS EVER !!!!!! We also have a joint account which i hate because he sees everything i pay for ... i am contemplatting opening a secret account lol

I feel the same. I have a closet full of $200 jeans, shoes etc. And the worst part...they dont fit anymore!! When I lived in CA,i seemed to think I was wealthy and ended up $30k in credit card debt. Since moving back to NY I paid it all back...but it killed me to give up every tax return and bonus to pay it off!

I def agreee with the pleasing people....i am stilll working on that!

oh the credit cards.....ahhhhh...thankfuly FH helped me tremoundously and they are all okay and we are now building my credit up....but seriously what was i bbuying?! besides things for school...it was for other pepople almost all of the time! HUGE regret..gifts do not buy love!!!

I probably would have been less trusting as well!!

i still dont own a credit card. lol i refuse to get one.


i dont have any regrets or anything.. i guesss dying my hair blonde... its been over 2 yrs and im still paying for it.

I wish I had known then how hard it would be to find a job with a BFA in Stage Management, I would have gone into accounting instead.

I also wish I knew then that I really would have been able to get into lawschool, I could have finished law school in 2006 lol

I wish I went to college when I was younger. Now I'm 32 and FINALLY finishing my bachelors. If I studied instead of partied in my 20's I would have been finished yearrrrrs ago.
