I woke up anxious
I've been up since 5, and feeling very anxious about my wedding and life. I was recently promoted at my job which is fabulous however it's a lot more work and I am having trouble relaxing when I get home. I haven't done laundry in 2 weeks!!!Yesterday FH and I met with florist's the second consultant told me we need to hurry that we are not going to get any good vendors, and then asking why did we wait so long. I totally get that I'm running a little behind but seriously we still have 10 months.
I'm sorry just had to vent, holy PMS. I'm going try and talk FH in going to register today at least that's a check and it's something fun.
Thanks for 'listening'

You're wedding is in Nov, I really don't think you're behind. What do you have left?I know how you feel about feeling anxious. I got promoted about 2 months ago and was really stressed out the first month. I think you just have to get use to your new role and everything will normalize

You are not running behind. It was mean of them to say that! I put a lot of stuff on hold to deal with work recently. Wedding planning doesn't need to be a crazy full time job. No matter who your photographer is, or what your flowers look like, you will still be married and have the best day of your life!

No you aren't behind. We got engaged at the end of June and didn't start any planning until August. We booked church/reception hall then photo/video bc I wanted photo STD's. Then I went dress shopping for me n about 4 weeks later for the girls. Hurricane Sandy and the holidays we didn't do anything but register n get a DJ. We just started looking at florist n we picked one but I still need to sign the contract n drop it off (just received it n they are closed Sun n Mon). I don't know if you need to go to a florist yet if your BM haven't gotten dresses. Right now I need to tackle limos n invitations. I find it best to do one wedding related item a week so I don't get overwhelmed and I still enjoy everything. Also, don't read 2014 boards, some of the girls are so far ahead out might make you question your timeline.

Congrats on your promotion. Look on the very bright side, a promotion, though it means more responsibility, it also usually means a pay raise. If that is true, it will make your future more comfortable, so while you're anxious right now over the wedding, just remember the wedding is one day but your marriage is a lifetime. That's what I try to focus on when I get overwhelmed. Are you booking with this florist. If they made you anxious at the first meeting, chances are they are not going to calm you down and make you feel better the closer you get to the wedding so I would think about going somewhere else. I love my florist, they are so laid back and affiliated with my bridal salon so I can kill two birds with one stone. FM me if you want more info. You've got lots of time. Prioritiz and pace yourself. I suggest getting a calendar and/or day planner. I have appointments on my phone but I keep it in writing as well to see everything in front of me. I'm kinda old fashioned like that. Good luck, take deep breaths and check out if you need to and don't let anyone tell you you aren't allowed to walk away for a bit if that's what you need to do!

People plan weddings in less than 6 months... That's ridiculous that florist said that to you. I certainly wouldn't use them after unnecessarily stressing me out! You're fine! Congrats on the promotion!!

I agree with the ladies you def. have time, do not feel like that at all! I got engaged in June, went on vacation to Europe, came back end of July and booked all my vendors by beginning of October plus got my dress. We are getting married 7/7/13, so about 10 months. I got all the vendors I wanted so don't be stressed, enjoy your promotion and this time in your life!

Thanks everyone! I am very excited about my promotion however I have walked into lots of problems and need to learn how to leave work at the office. I'm sure in a couple of weeks I will feel much different.FH and I started our registries!! He took me to macy's and bbb!! so happy got one check done this weekend. Second little check, we figured out who to not use as a florist lol.

You are fine! Just tackle one thing at a time. Some vendors book up very fast for weddings in the high season, but for a November wedding, you will be fine. I have a very stressful job too. I wake up anxious very single day LOL Change is hard!

Re: I woke up anxious
from what you said you have scheduled to do, you sound like you are on the right track. I wouldnt stress too much about it yet. You still have time to find and book great vendors. Don't let a vendor pressure you
