I won a honeymoon trip!
I got a call this evening from a gentleman at Royal Prestige and he informed me that they had entered me in a contest by getting my information at David's Bridal where I got my bridesmaids dresses. He said that I won a 4day 3night stay at my choice between Aruba, St. Maarten, Bonaire or Barbados. I told him what is the catch! He said you only have to over 21. There were 1000 brides entered and I was one of the forty winners. He says that airfare and meals are not included. I have to meet with them with my fiancee with two pieces of identification at the Comfort Inn in Bay Ridge Brooklyn in order to receive the vouchers. I have to book 60 days prior to departure. What do you guys think? Does anyone know this company? If this is legit, which would be the best place to go with the cheapest airfare? I don't know if to be excited or worried! I have never won anything before! I could really do something else with the 3,000 we were about to spend on our honeymoon.Your advise would be really appreciated.

I knew it was too good to be true!
I figured it was going to be a scam, that's why I posted the topic. Thanks for saving me hours of torture. My fiancee thanks you too! :)

Even in NC
IT happened to me in NC too. It was a similar deal. I won the trip from a bridal show I was at. All they wanted me to do was go to this China/Dishes expo, blah, blah, blah. It's terrible that they play this game with brides. But I guess everyone is out to make a buck. Glad you came to post before going to meet these people.

Be careful...
If I remember correctly, the two forms of identification are a credit card and your checking account. As of this date, I have won about 6 free trips. Last week, I got a call and as soon as I said 'I'm not interested', they hung up on me without another word.

I went on the trip!
I posted last year that I went to a Royal Prestige 'demo'. There was no obligation to buy. The incentive they give you is an extra vacation voucher you can use. I went to the Huntington location and made sure I checked into the company first and asked lots of questions. We went to Cancun for 4 days. When I got written confirmation, I made sure I called the hotel to be sure Royal Prestige had made the reservation. I also made sure this was not a timeshare and no time would be required of me during the vacation to listen to a sales pitch. Everything was fine. The hotel was exactly what I expected for free (decent), and all meals and drinks were included. We did not love the food, so we went out for dinner a few times in town. They do have timeshare condos there and every guest (even paying ones) is asked if they want to see a condo. We declined and said we had no interest. They were not pushy at all and thanked us for staying with them. I would not reccommend this trip as a honeymoon (it was not ours) as it is not luxurious since it is free. We only went because we got cheap airfare and wanted a short break from our daily routine. If you do go on a trip through them, I suggest confirming everything yourself directly with the hotel. Good luck!Welcome New Vendors
