I just got a call from Irene (385-XXXX). She said i won some type of vacation and i can select from serveral locations (United States). ALl i have to do to claim prize is to look and give my comments about some products. She said it was the first main registration table when i got there that i had to fill out. I listen to her but didn't say yes/no etc... I read a post that there is a scam about this type of stuff..is this it? She mention the wyndamn which i was at.....
thoughts, comments, questions...?

Yea, not really scam but not the truth either. They said they had to give you an in-home presentation in order for yout to get the prize. I got the prize(never used it), and I weren't really impressed with the china patterns they were offering.

There's no airfare included, just a hotel (not nice ones either) Dont waste your time.

This is such a scam.
The first bridal expo me and FH went to was at the Uniondale Marriot and we won this trip. I never win anything so I was so psyched. We had to go to this tiny little office building in Huntington and go down into this dingy little basement and sit and listen to this guy go on and on about these pots and pans which are really pretty nice.
The inner shopaholic came out in me and I said I wanted to buy them and FH said where are we going to put them I said I don't know we'll make room then we found out how much they were and I still wanted them and the guy started talking about financing and then my FH looks and me and says you finance a car not freaking pots and pans and he actually left the room.
So all in all it was a waste of time and a total scam.
We asked if they could send us a catalog b/c we were not ready to buy anything at that moment and he got pretty nasty and said I already have all your mailing information. To this day we still have not received a catalog and this was almost a year ago.

wowww, thank you so much girls!!! today at 4:00 me and FH had an appointment to meet w/ someone from 21st century to claim our 'prizes'. i too was so excited i had 'won' something.... ha ha ha. its sat morning and i couldnt sleep so i decided to see what my favorite girls on my favorite board were up to... im so happy im addicted to this board!!! FH was like wow thank god for stuff like this... so needless to say we are not going to this appointment!!! thank you thank you thank you! marie

The bigger part of the scam is when you do go on the Free vacation they try to sell you a time share. I didnt go and claim anything but a friend of mine did. If you take a look at the hotels that they are offering most of them are time share hotels. Which isnt so bad since I own a time share but FH dosnt deal well with people selling anything (which is how we got the time share) he buys everything b/c he feels bad for everyone.
