So, I went to the bridal show at the Marriott two Mondays ago. They had a drawing for someone to win a homeymoon, which I did not win. The next day they called me, saying I won a second prize. I am a very suspicious person, so I did not call them back. I figured I won a vase or something and I'd have to buy a washer and dryer to receive it. Then they called again, so I figured maybe I should call them back. I just found out that I won a 3 day 2 night trip to a place of my choice out of a list they gave me (We're choosing Atlantic City b/c we love it there and I don't fly), a $500 gift certificate to an online catalog, and a 40 percent discount of the merchandise at 21st Century Bridal. FH and I are going tomorrow to pick up the gifts. I never win anything, I can't believe this.

That's great, Im glad to hear you won so much stuff. I never win anything!! There have been may postings here regarding century 21. Im just curious to know, are you obligated to purchase from them?

Being as suspicious as I am, I asked the woman that question about 234324 times, and she said no. When we go there tomorrow, we have to watch a demonstration of their products, which makes sense because one of the prizes is 40 percent off of their products. She said that is how they advertise, and no, we are not obligated to buy anything or spend any money at all. (Except gambling money in Alantic City........ whoooooooo.)

not trying to bring down your buzz...but alot of these things tend to be a bit of a scam. I won about 10 things after going to a bridal show, and i was harassed for weeks about 'claiming my prize.' I'm sure there are things to be won, but alot of times, they require you to purchase something first.
Just make sure you read the fine print.

Have fun. it's not so much a prize as a amrketing ploy, but its still cool, and hey, 2 free hotel nights for an hour of my time sounds pretty good! Let us know how it goes. I set up an appointment like 6 mos ago, but then I didn't actually go.

Yeah, I'm actually still suspicious, but I'm hoping it's completely true. I will definitely read the fine print, but I am so excited at the possibility that this will work out. I love Atlantic City.

be careful...it is a marketing scam. they want to get you in their showroom and sell you stuff. don't end up spending the $500 on their products!
