FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WANT TO DONATE, PLEASE MAILL YOUR DONATIONS ASAP? THEY ARE HAVING THE BENEFIT SOON AND COUNT ON YOU! THANKS SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!

I know many of you are saving away for your wedding day. I had mine and my DH and I paid for every last cent of it ourselves, while living together, not at home, and while paying bills, cars etc, just like alot of you are.

I am asking for your help to donate as little or as much as you can to the MICHAEL CUCCIONE FOUNDATION.
The donations is for a benefit for Pediatric Cancer Research at Schneider's Children's Hospital, where many of these children, are so sick, they may never see their Wedding Day .

So ladies, please help. You can donate anywhere from $5, to as much as you can afford.
I know we are all lucky enough to be able to send at least $5. I will get them to print something saying LIWEDDINGS Ladies came through and I will post it.

I can think of a lot more things that are done on this board that can be considered rude...this couldn't be FURTHER from it.

And I really don't think Jenn was judging anyone, turn the sensitivity monitors down a notch.

I felt as though the post that set this off sounded judgemental also, especially with the edited thread title. I chose to ignore that since it has no bearing on my life overall and it was for a good cause.

But I do not think it was rude to post information about the benefit nor bump it for a few days so everyone can see it.

This is far from rude and I think it's commendable that Jennbaby is trying to help this cause. Everyone should help those less fortunate in whatever way they can whether it be this charity or one of your own choosing.

If you do not wish to contribute no one is forcing you and you don't have to read the post when it is bumped.

It was not meant to be rude...just bumped and asked no one else because those were donating posted & there were very few of us.
LIW ladies always come through so I was surprised that more didn't answer.

Thats all I meant. How did this get made into a post on what one thinks of the title?

Jenn - it seemed to me that it was a way to make people feel guilty, if that wasn't the case, I understand, it was just how I took it. Written words are hard to gauge on the internet.

I make it a point NEVER to get involved in any of the 'DRAMA' that goes on here but is it me or lately does it seem like EVERYTHING becomes drama? If something so selfless like wanting to help terminally ill children can be bashed, then why would anyone in their right minds want to ask advice on anything as 'trivial' as their weddings? I'm afraid to ask anything these days.

Well, changing the title like that will really help the drama element. This place is incredible lately. A simple edit and didnt mean it like that would have laid this to rest earlier. But nope not on LIW.

(ps...I am even annoyed at myself for even responding to this so no one needs to feel the need to tell me I should ignore it.)

I don't want to get into about subject lines or anything, but I do want to say that just because people don't reply to the thread doesn't mean that they didn't donate. Some people don't really want to make public what they give to charitable organizations. So to say that youre saddened by the lack of replies - you shouldn't take it into consideration that that's how many actually did something about your request. I wanted to point that out - maybe it will cheer you up.
