FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WANT TO DONATE, PLEASE MAILL YOUR DONATIONS ASAP? THEY ARE HAVING THE BENEFIT SOON AND COUNT ON YOU! THANKS SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!

I know many of you are saving away for your wedding day. I had mine and my DH and I paid for every last cent of it ourselves, while living together, not at home, and while paying bills, cars etc, just like alot of you are.

I am asking for your help to donate as little or as much as you can to the MICHAEL CUCCIONE FOUNDATION.
The donations is for a benefit for Pediatric Cancer Research at Schneider's Children's Hospital, where many of these children, are so sick, they may never see their Wedding Day .

So ladies, please help. You can donate anywhere from $5, to as much as you can afford.
I know we are all lucky enough to be able to send at least $5. I will get them to print something saying LIWEDDINGS Ladies came through and I will post it.

I sent my check out a few days ago,.its not for a whole lot..but i sent what we could, we got hit with alot of expenses in one month, having to buy a new ring, getting hit by a car and paying for it ourselves, my grad school tuition, 700 bucks for books alone..a wedding, rent, if we can send a check..anyone can!!!
I think of it as this could happen to anyone of our children..and wouldnt we want people raising money for us? Even if people only sent 5 dollars..if everyone sent 5..it all adds up!!!! Its a great cause!!
I also just donated to breast cancer. I had an aunt pass away from that..so it hits close to home. I participate in teh MS walk every year..we have to give back ..we never know when it could be us needing that money!!!!

While I appreciate your passion for this cause and I agree donating to charity is something everyone should do more of, I don't think posting it on the BHB board and repeatedly bumping it is appropriate. I can only speak for myself but I didn't respond to the thread because I felt that your post was a bit rude and out of place. Last year alone I gave approximately $3,000 to various charities so I am very conscious of the how important donating is. Imagine we all started posting about our causes on the BHB board and expressed our sadness when people didn't respond. This post belongs on NWR and the brides who chose not to donate should not be judged.

I NEVER THOUGHT THAT ME ASKING FOR HELP FOR A CHARITY COULD BE RUDE.

I BUMPED IT SEVERAL TIMES FOR HELP FOR THIS CAUSE.

IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO DONATE THAT IS FINE.

I MENTIONED I UNDERSTOOD IF OTHERS ALREADY DONATED TO OTHER CHARITIES.

I FEEL THIS CAN BE POSTED ON ANY & ALL BOARDS & IF IT WERE INAPPROPRIATE, I AM SURE LIW WOULD HAVE REMOVED IT!

It gets bumped because we do have girls who do not go on too often and may not see this and this is a very important cause.

This thread can get lost in the shuffle of other threads and no one may know it ever existed.

How would you feel if the shoes were on you and your family. How would you feel if you were posting about a person you knew who was sick and wanted to find a cure, I am sure you would do the same thing as Jennbaby has done and keep it bumped.

Please dont judge Jennbaby for wanting to share the news with girls because if it was me or anyone else we would do the same thing

I didnt see it as rude at all! I think we are all pretty much anonymous on here anyhow..if you want to donate..you do..if you dont wnat to, thats fine too.
I think Jennbaby just bumped the thread because people are on here at different times..and if I understand right, the benefit is in a few days!
I know I get overwhelemd with so many chairities ou there..either im raisng money myself or friends are asking for me for money. I just pick the charities that are important to me and I give what I can. I cant donate to verey single charity out there..its impossible..I just think this charity is one that jennbaby feels strongly about.

I think this thread is appropriate no matter where it is posted. I do not visit BHB much and she posted it on NW and I saw it thre. I did not see it on NWR or BHB.

I do not think it is rude or inappropriate at all. If you cannot contribute, move on, no biggie. Did it inconvienence you??

Jen bump it as often as you see fit. You got some donations, so I am certain it was not all for nothing.

my mom's good friend had a nephew who died from brain cancer. He was only 7 years old. All he wanted was to play football, but instead he spent his days in a hospital.

Every year their is a charity event in his name where funds are raised to buy toys and games for the hospital he was in.

My sorority's philanthropy is pediactric cancer. Every year while I was active we had a bachelors auction. The money went to research for pediactric cancer.

Have you ever walked a hospital coradoor and seen the faces of these children? Held their hands because they were scared, hugged them so tight that you wished it would take their pain???

We are all very fortunate that we are healthy, we had a healthy childhood and these children may never grow up to be the adults we are. My very close friend had leukema when we were younger and thanks to donations set up in his name he was able to fight and win the battle. Without the help of friends, family, and strangers he may have never survived.

This cause as sure many other charities are good causes. When you feel so passionate about something you want everyone to know about the cause. Every little bit helps. My sorority collected notebooks, pens, pencils, hats, toys, and we sent it to St. Jude's Children's hospital. We received a letter thanking us and a picture of all the kids and the gifts. To us it was a nice gesture and it was nothing out of the ordinary, to them it was their entire world. Because of us their day was a little brighter.

So even a small 5 dollar donation could be that lens to put in a microscope that will look at the molecules of a vacine and this could be the 5 dollars that brought us one step closer to finding the cure.

I agree, I don't think Jenn was being rude at all!! If you don't want to donate that is fine, no one ever said EVERYONE had to donate. No judgment was passed on anyone.

I even bumped the thread up myself, because I believe it is such a worthy cause.
