I WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE OUR NEW DAUGHTER!!

This is our newly adopted daughter- Shortcake!! She is the new little sister of Mr. Samual J. Peabody!
She is six weeks old and we adopted her from the Town of Hempstead animal shelter this morning!! Here are a few pics I have taken of her today. Right now she is taking a nap on daddy as you'll see in one of the pics. She is so full of energy. She has been checking everything out like crazy!! We are so happy to have her in our lives.

Very very very cute! I hope she cheers you guys up..I love kittens, we have 3 cats and I cant wait to get a house because Im gonna be a crazy old cat lady! I asked FH if he would build me a lkitty cttage in the back yard..LOL!

Adorable!!! How is your other cat adjusting?

Well, he has been under the bed most of the day. He came out to sniff her when we got home, he hissed and then ran under. He just came out a little while ago, sniffed around, then I gave him a new toy I bought him filled with catnip. He played with that for a long time, then Shortcake came zooming in and he hissed and ran under the bed again. But He did come out again and I pet him for a good half hour on the floor. He seems ok, when she is not around. I think he will get used to her in a day or two He's a sweety and so is she. Thanks everyone. Shortcake (AkA -Shorty)- has definitely cheered us up alot. I forgot what it was like to have a kitty. She is crazy!! Checking everything out. And all she wants to do is play. But the best is every time we pick her up she puts an instant motor on and cuddles up in our arms. Now we have two precious little babies!!

What we did when we brought our new kitty home was to put the new kitty in a carrier for a few minutes and let our other ones go up to it and sniff a little bit. This seemed to get them used to each other really quickly.

OMG, I am rethinking my rush to have children this morning. This adorable little kitty kept us up all night meowing. She had to sleep on our bed, which kept us alert because we were affraid to turn over and crush her. Then she just kept meowing wanting to be pet. We are so tired this morning. But she is now sleeping nicely. We are having so much fun with her. Mr. Peabody is still hissing a bit, but he slept in the livingroom all night and ate all his food. We are giving him as much attention as he'll let us. He actually came out and played fetch for a while last night and loves his new catnip cigar!!
