I-ya-yi!!!

I-ya-yi!!!

I have the dreary job of making sure my department is stocked with paper and envelopes when we have big mailings to go out and so I earlier sent an email to my department saying that I was headed over to stores fill an order, so if anyone needed anything, please let me know...well, one of my co-workers just got in and sent me this:

Hi Farah – Don’t take offence – but stationery is spelled with an ‘e’, not an ‘a’. I always remember it by thinking ‘e is for envelope!’ Cheers. Deb x

Um, don't you have anything better to do than correct my spelling??? I'm surprised she didn't copy in the whole department!

Oh, well, I don't really expect much from someone who carries a hand held fan--in the winter!

Tell her that offense is spelled with an S (even though it could be spelled with a c too). Tell her we don't add unnecesary 'u's to words either. (colour) BEOTCH!!

Dear Deb X, thanks for the heads up! Also, 'cheers' is spelled with an F and U.

That's sounds like something my brother would do. He think he is makingthe world a better place by improving everyone's grammar & spelling.
A coworker sent a somewhat nasty group email with awful grammar, & I wanted correct it, but I resisted.

Don't you just hate the grammar police?

Note: A coworker very often sends out emails that are just pitiful...Makes her look pretty bad, I would think...

This is what I'm going to write back:

Geewhillikhers, Deb, thanks ever so for the tip. Now I'm sure never to make that silly mistake again! xx

Don't you just know that when anyone starts ANYTHING with the phrase 'No Offense' you're gonna take offense...you're just gunna!
