i was thinking of getting one of these for the kids to play with and to have as their centerpiece at their table instead of candles and flowers like the other tables. i'd also get them coloring/activity books but i thought this was a cute idea. opinions?

get one of what? No picture... Coloring books are a good idea though!!
all the kids are either 10 and under, or like, 3 and under. figure the littlest ones will stay with their moms most likely, and the felt sticks to itself, so no mess. i just dont want to get it and think its going to be great and then i'm the only one who plays with it

honestly, i LOVE these (i book marked the site for when it comes time for my wedding) i think it will be a big hit...keep it in your colors and it will be awesome

thats a cute idea. i've also seen candy CP's for kids tables. and activity books i think are a great idea...with mazes...word searches..coloring..keeps em busy.
that is a cute idea. I think I might put coloring books and crayons out. You can get them for $1 at the dollar store.

i think that is so cute...but i can just picture my nieces...at their age, i am not sure if they will play together and work on it or it will become of a fight of who can decorate it. i guess ill wait closer to the date and see how their personalities progress....

We had kid friendly centerpieces for the e-party. Our party was the week before Halloween, so we filled plastic pumpkins with TONS of candy, coloring books, and packs of crayons, and the table was covered in white paper so the kids could draw on it. Absolutely no candles were near them. We even had special kid friendly cocktail foods and drinks so they can feel special. I think its a great idea!
