I know one of the girls at work is having a small wedding (i think around 65 people) She is having it at the Irish Coffee Pub. It sounds weird, but it's actually a restaurant, and from the look of pictures it looks very pretty/elegant and they do a lot of weddings. Maybe you can look into that?

also - there is a restaurant/catering place in the hamptons that my friend just got married at... I can find out the name if you want I don't know how far you were willing to go to LI

ooo - duh - you can even do captain bills in Bay shore. They have the catering hall for weddings (bayview house) but they have smalelr rooms in teh restaurant. food is great and its on the water too if thats what you are looking for. HTH

You might want to check Larkfield Manor as well or Verdi's of Westbury.

I think some of the ladies said them but Captain Bills, Snapper Inn, Irish Coffee Pub, Molly Malon's has an upstairs with a dance floor that is really nice, there is also Filomena's in Franklin Square that has a private room with a dance floor. We had FSIL 21st birthday there and the food was really great and the room was a decent size too.
Pompei in West Hempstead too - has a private room. We have done a ton of family functions there and the food is awesome!!!
