Ideas for 1st Birthday

A friend of mine is new to LI/Queens and is looking for a place to have her son's 1st bday party. She doesnt want to do it in a restaurant, she was looking for a place with activities for the guests (museum, zoo, etc.) She lives in Queens, so if anyone has any suggestions in Nassau or Queens, please let me know.

Thanks.

I know there is that place Playrobics on Bell Blvd across from the Cross Island Parkway. I cant vouch for what it's like now but we had my nephew's bday party there a few years ago and the kids all had a blast. They got a private room in the back for the pizza and cake but played out in the main area I think

my daughter is turning 1 tommoro
we decided to have a party for her at the chinese buffet and hire an entertainer to come there .
the china buffet is $ 9 a person for buffet and drinks
if you do it on a saturday from 12:30-3:30
more if you do on a sunday
they give you your own private room with a stage for the entertainer
this is in deer park though but any chinese place will proubly be simalr

as for entertainmet this is what we got and her is the link
this is what we got

This was my suggestion, too! In fact, I suggested this place to Ron for the LIW sponsored Mommy GTG, but of course that NEVER happened!

The LI museum would have been nice, too bad it's for 3 and up. I know she doesn't want it in a restaurant. We were at the Queens Zoo on Monday, and she was inquiring about having it there.
