Ideas for multiple flower girls & ring bearers?

Well I think someone posted about a similar topic not too long ago but I can't find the thread. Anyway, my cousins agreed to have their 5 year old triplet daughters be flower girls in our wedding! I'm so thrilled because I love them to pieces and they are adorable (plus one of them is my goddaughter so they are even more special to me). We are also having my FH's nephews in the wedding. One will be 8 so he will be the actual ring bearer. The other will be 23 months old and his parents are in the wedding party so we're thinking his parents will walk him in or carry him in (he's more of an honorary ring bearer). So my thoughts are to have the 8 year old ring bearer walk in first. the baby with his parents and the girls 3 in a row right before me tossing rose petals (my church does allow it).

Sorry this is so long. Basically, I'm just wondering if anyone else has more than one child in their wedding party or has any cute ideas. People have been telling me I'm crazy for having all these kids but our feeling is that there is no way they can ruin our day. Oh and these will be the only children at our wedding reception.

Re: Ideas for multiple flower girls & ring bearers?

I am having two ring bearers and one flower girl.

They will all walk down together. The flower girl in the middle.

I think you should have the parents carry the 23 month old first, then the 8 year old ring bearer, then the 3 flower girls, either together, or each one seperate, right before you. JMO

Re: Ideas for multiple flower girls & ring bearers?

Thanks for your thoughts ladies. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one including several children!

I like the idea of having the ring bearer and then the girls. I'm just afraid he'll bother them, they are a little sensitive and I don't know how they'll react to this older boy that they won't really know. That's why I thought I might separate him from the girls.

Maybe it would be cute to have the girls walk in together and hold hands or something. It might be easier. Don't know. I'll have to think about that.

Re: Ideas for multiple flower girls & ring bearers?

I would have the 23 mo. old pulled down in a decorated wagon by wither the girls or the 8 year old..i think it is so cute. My friend did it with her neice and nephew who were both only a year..she had the maid of honor and best man pull them down..it was a big hit.

aw, that sounds adorable!!! i thought of having the girls pull down a wagon with flower petals to toss but then thought they might trip or fight and it might be too much for them. but the wagon with the baby is a great idea. i'll keep that in mind thanks.

Re: Ideas for multiple flower girls & ring bearers?

I'm having 2 flower girls and one ring bearer. The ring bearer and one of the flower girls will be 7 (my niece and nephew) and the other flower girl will only be 3 1/2 (FH's niece). The plan is they will walk down together, with my nephew in the middle, arms linked. If FH's niece freaks out and won't walk down the aisle (I've seen it happen, even with the best of kids) it'll just be my niece and nephew and they'll walk down together.

( I'm secretly hoping for scenario number 2... It's awful but I LOVE the way my niece and nephew interact together. I'm terrible, I know)

How about having the 8 yr old boy pull the wagon and have the 2 yr old hold the pillow.
