Ideas for my favor!

Original post by NapaValleyGirl

So, I am getting married on the North Fork and I really want to give bottles of wine (getting married at the vineyard caterers)

My aunt makes the most amazing Long Island Strawberry Jam and she picks the berries herself. She made almost 200 jars of it for the wedding.

Though, it doesn't go with the 'wine' theme I thought it would be cute to put it into a bag and make a little 'breakfast bag.'

Any thoughts of what I could put in there along with the jam that would be inexpensive?

Thanks!!!!

Why dont you make homemade muffins?
Bran, Corn, Choc Chip, Banaba Nut etc?

Some crackers, a packet or two of tea (individal bags) and a crossword puzzle.

Instead of the regular paper: how about you doing a wedding day newsletter. So you give the newsletter, muffin and jam.

Check wolfermans.com. They have THE best english muffins and all different kinds of breads and such. They also have cute little preserve spreaders. They have mini-muffins. You can order so many and pick and choose whichever you like. You could get the minis and put a couple in pretty little bags with the preserves. I can't find the little spreaders on the site right now, but if you asked them for a catalog, you would find it in there; I don't remember them being expensive. Just an idea...

IMO, I would try to stay away from the food. None is going to know if they are fresh or old. I wouldn't eat them for that reason. I think a spreader would be nice. You can tie the spreader on the jar -maybe around the lid, with the favor tag.
