Ideas for planning a special day for all my girls?

Hello, I wanted to plan a fun day before my wedding day for my bridesmaids and a few special ladies like my mom- thanking them for all of their help. It`s only about 8 of us and wanted it to be fun. Any ideas? Any cool/fun places to eat and hang out which would be special for them? Also, what are some good ideas for presents for them? Thanks in advance!

What time of year? You could go to a spa -- go to the city -- go to the beach. I think there is a Jillian's on LI -- I live in NC. It's a bar/restaurant/game room type place with all sorts of games, pool, the one down here has a volleyball court, etc. You could do a spa party and just do it at someone's house. Get pedicure, manicure, facial, etc. products and have a good time relaxing with the girls. I took all of my BM to get manicures/pedicures the day before the wedding. We practically took over the nail salon and it was fun.

I'm trying to plan something now. I'm getting married the Sunday of Labor Day Weekend, & I'm thinking of a sleep-over on Friday night or something spa-related on Saturday. Some of the more different ideas I had were maybe a scavenger hunt or a trip to one of those pottery studios & then lunch. Good luck

I agree with all the above ideas. Spa days rock - what girl doesn't LOVE that?!? Or, how about an amusement park? Go on rollercoasters and eat cotton candy. Something that makes you all get a chance to act silly and stupid! (my BM's are my sisters and we are going down to Cape May where they have a Haunted House tour!!!!)

I saw a really neat thing in a mag last night...Its these charms that you tie to ribbons and have baked into a cake. Then each of your BM's pulls a charm out and each one stands for something....next one to have a baby, next one to marry, etc. I thought that would be a cute thing to add to a day with the girls.

I did that with my BM on the day before the wedding. Besides the nail thing we did a bridesmaid's brunch and did the cake charms. It was my time to thank them for being my attendants.
