What is everyone doing to lose weight? I am going to be starting agin on Monday and I would love to lose about 10 pounds before my wedding which is in December. I know I have some time but I would rather start earlier than later.
I am also going to the gym is there any work out program someone can recommend. I would love to get a trainer but I do not have the extra funds right now.

Work out with weights! I definitley noticed a major change in my body once I began weight training.

I've been walking everywhere and cutting all my meal potions in half. So far it's been working for me.

Re: Ideas on Losing some extra pounds
Write down everything you eat. (Keep something in you purse - it won't work if you try to do it at the end of the day.)
Join a gym -- just be careful, working out can make you more hungry. Be sure to have something light and healthy with you as an after gym snack.

Always take the stairs and park your car so that you have to walk a little more.

Re: Ideas on Losing some extra pounds
You should calendar a specific period of time for cardio workouts in the beginning. Weight training too early will change your fat to muscle (which is what you want to lose for weight and inches). Then, after some cardio. add weight training. If you treadmill, consider using the weight loss program. It increases and decrease the incline during the workout allowing you to burn more calories during the session and if you slowly increase the incline, you can start to gain strength. Happy Workouts!

If you can't get a trainer, buy the Buff Brides book. It is very helpful, and explains how to do the exercises in a very detailed way. In it, there is a 24 week program and a 12 week program.

I've been going to the gym 3x a week and have really cut down on carbs. the only bread I eat (when I do eat bread) is whole wheat.
It's really working!! I tried on my dress last weekend and it was so big on me!!

Re: Ideas on Losing some extra pounds
I just started writing down everything i eat down (even gum) in a notepad - I am aiming for a 1200 calorie diet. Plus I have started working out more both cardio and weights. I have 14 months to lose the 15 pounds I wnat to lose. Hopefully I can loose it and keep it off! My neighbor did this and lost 55 pounds and look absolutely awesome!
