If a DJ handled the music for your Ceremony...

If a DJ handled the music for your Ceremony...

We hired our DJ to play the music at our ceremony as well because I'm using two specific songs that IMO are very difficult to sing (Ave Maria and Con Te Partiro). I also *have* to have the lyrics and not just the instrumental. We're using Starlight Express and they've tried to explain to me how they set up the whole thing, but I'm still confused.

Can someone tell me how their DJ set it up and how it looked? I just want to make sure it's not going to look like a revival of 'Say Anything' with the DJ in the back of the ceremony room holding up a boombox Thanks!

ETA: If you DO know someone who can sing these two songs, definitely let me know that too--just in case!

What we were told by our dj is that they will set up speakers in the ceremony area. They will be discrete, and there will be no one holding up a boombox!

I had a dj and an mc , the mc was in the other room with the equipotent and my dj was in the room the only stuff actually in the room at the time of the ceremony was speakers, never even saw the speakers! It will be OK don't worry! good luck!

Second part of the question: So, how well did the DJ transition from the ceremony to doing the cocktail hour music? Is there going to be a lag? If they don't have a 2nd set of speakers with them, are they going to have to set them up in the CH area while guests are there? Thanks again
