Great! I just sent for more info...I don't know when we'll realistically be in a position to buy, but, I am curious how much they're going for. But...if it's not Pet -friendly...it's a moot point...

the studio starts at $237,000 and they go up to over $500,000 for the 2 bedrooms.

YIKES! I would never spend that for an apartment!!! I just don't get that...I want a house!
Even a small one, would be better to me than an apartment!

for queens well certain parts of queens thats a good price...for those neighborhoods you cant even find a house in the $237,000-500,000 range...In astoria where i grew up houses are in the $700,000 and up range and many more than that...i would say astoria/LIC/forest hills/kew gardens/bayside/whitestone are fairly expensive.

oh geez in howard beach there is this house for sale for $600K and everyone i ask about it is like STAY AWAY FROM IT - in order for it to be that cheap there must be something wrong with it it would be perfect though - right around the block it is just so funny bc everyone is reacting like the house is on sale for $56 or something!!

oh yeah exactly you have to add that to the expense. I wanted to live closer to the city for first 2 years of marriage before we moved out to LI but for the amount of money we would pay for an apartment here you can get a house in LI. This is why fh and i are taking forever to decide, we keep changing our minds lol

The house across from me was for sale for $550k and we went to look at it. Mind you thats like 100k under mkt value. The place was a dump. You'd have to put 150k in work easily. It would have been perfect right across from my mom.

honestly ( AND I HATE TO SAY THIS) anything under $800K in my neighborhood right now is probably only good for land, and knocking down the entire house and starting over. as sad as that sounds! LOL

Its true though i know what you mean. I know everyone says Li is expensive but certain parts of queens and of course brooklyn are getting insanely expensive...we can get a house in LI for what an apartment would cost us here...of course theres certain neighborhoods in LI that are insanely expensive but speaking in general
