...would you be happy you had alone time for a few days w/o FH?
FH is going away for 2 nights next week and to be honest ( ) I am kind of excited...not that I would tell him that. Is that mean?

I wouldn't mind him going away for a few days either. Like you, I actually would enjoy it haha. I am able to exist as an individual without him, and I have more than enough shows on my Tivo to occupy me LOL!

When FH went to Bangladesh a few years ago, I was TORN UP. He was gone for two weeks. But it allowed me to grow in my eyebrows so I could get them threaded for the first time. Hurrah for turning beastly in his absence and discovering the joys of threading!
ETA: I actually go away without him more often, thanks to all the Pearl Jam shows I attend. We can function without each other!

FH used to travel for work a lot and I hated it. We had just moved in together when he started traveling, and I felt like he was never around.
NOW........he's in a different job and only travels once in a while. When he goes away for a day or two....it's kind of a relief! Last time he went away for work for about three days, I had a girls night. Two of my girlfriends came over, we ordered food, watched movies, and drank cosmos........
But I jest....I love FH to death and miss him dearly when he's away. But sometimes it's nice to have a little break

ita - i live with FH and i love having alone time during the day to shop and just relax but come bed-time, i get lonely!

FH is going on a Bachelor party from the 24th to the 27th... I am always happy when I am alone in the house... not that I don't miss him... im sure by saturday night we'll be texting each other non stop... but its nice to have the bed all to myself and the dog! lol

ITA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FH goes away a couple times a year and I used to be so sad when he left, but I realized that I need to miss him sometimes! We work together so I see him almost 24/7. When he leaves now, I give him a big hug and a kiss and then I RELAX!
Then I can be all happy and horny when he gets back! haha

I would have my best friend sleep over and when we are together there is no time to miss anyone we just laugh and act like teenagers again. BUt i do miss him when he is not there

If he was bringing the puppy with him then i'd be really excited! haha. nah i love having him around - but i also feel like i can't go out too many days each week cuz i feel bad that he's stuck home with the puppy!

I'm glad to see I'm not alone!
I do live with FH...and I travel without him to LI fairly often...cough cough once a month .
But it's rare I am at home and FH goes on vaca.
Finally 2 whole days without someone leaving every damn light in the house on, lowering the AC for that it's antarctica and leaving 348237428 drinks all over the house!!!!!

Wheb FH went away for 5 days I was sooooo not enjoying myself. I had nobody to argue with and was boered out of my mind! 2 days I won't mind though

haha fh goes to spring training every year in florida with his cousins, and i loveeeee ittttt bc i dont have to worry about going to his house and seeing him..i also go down to texas 4 or so times a year by myself, and its wonderful lol i promise i love him though hehe

i always miss fh when he goes away but at the same time it is nice to have some time alone....especially when you share a 1-bedroom apt

FH goes away every year with his friends, so it doesn't bother me, I don't mind the alone time

No it wouldn't bother me - I would be able to catch up on some wedding stuff and hang out with my friends. He goes away for a weekend every year with a group of his friends. Sometimes it's nice to just relax and do something else without your FH. I miss him when he goes, but have plenty of things to do.
