Gratuity was included in our limo contract (20%). We were not told to tip beyond that.

It depends on the quality of service. In our limo contract the gratuity is already included too.

We did. The gratuity that's included in the contract isn't given to the driver as a gratuity so we gave him a little bit more.

Our limo company said everything is included in the price and we dont tip the drivers. we feel alittle wierd not tipping them. So wea re giving them $40.00-$50.00 each driver.

The same here - I think we've decided to set asside $50 per driver for day of - barring any horrible service

Seriously! Unless 'gratuity' is synonmous for 'salary' of the person performing the service that day. It's so annoying.

So when you're signing the contract..do you ask what % of the gratuity charge actually goes to the driver?
If they say all of it...would you trust them or still give the day-of driver extra $$?

Our Limo contract has 10% built in. We intend on giving them another 10% the day of the wedding. I told that to the guy we met with. If the driver does not see it then he needs to take that up with his employer.
I am so F*&^king tired of people trying to get more money out of me!!!!

when I booked my limos the guy told me that gratuity is included in the price but, if the drivers go out of their way to really help me out then anything additional is appreciated. which is understandable. if somone goes out of their way for me I want to let them know I appreciate it. they could always just be lazy do the bare minimum knowing they are getting paid regardless.
Also, at least I know they are actually getting the tip when I hand it to them. It's not like these guys get paid a ton. they work to make a living just like the rest of us and I think it is crappy that some places use the additional 20% gratuity as salary for the drivers. If that is their policy then it should be called a 20% driver fee not gratuity.
