If I get one more *$&@(*!#$*&^ POP-UP

Pop-ups are like telemarketers but worse! Yeah you can close the window right away, but they pop up like every minute! It's like harrassment! I HATE HATE HATE these freakin' pop-ups!!!!!! I've run three scans while in safe mode (Norton, Ad-Aware, and SpyBot). I managed to find and get rid of a Trojan, but I'm STILL getting these f'ing pop-ups!!!! Ahhhhh!!!!!!!!

Have you cleared out your cookies and temporary internet files? A lot of times, that helps.

google has a pop-up blocker that works pretty well.

I hear ya.... How about the ones that talk to you!! I can't stand that, I get so embarrassed at work. I also get a lot for Tickle matchmaking and a lot of half naked women popping up. I am always afraid if someone walks by they will think I am a pervert. It really is harassment!

i never get pop ups online cause of my blocker.. but i get them all the time from AIM!

i always leave my away message up lately cause when i take it down the pop ups just won't stop.

I have the Google bar which has a pop-up blocker, but it doesn't catch everything. See, I just got a pop-up while typing this
I'll try clearing out my temp internet files, etc.

are you running windows xp?

make sure you intsall service pack 2... (windows update)

get spybot s & d
and
get spywareblaster


if you go to google and type those in, its the first hit

I hate to say this happened to us at home and we had to get the hard drive cleared.

If you are using Internet Explorer...roll it up into a ball and throw it out.

Get Firefox. Sooooo much better then IE. I've never had a popup since. Plus it has alot more features then IE.

EXACTLY. Download Spybot Search & Destroy. This is the only spyware killer I've found to be very effective. Do that....then get Firefox!

I had those than my father in law put a popup blocker scammer up and so far no popups.
