I always wanted to get married at st patrick's cathedral and then maybe have the reception at the waldorf astoria or the Plaza. Or maybe even have it in Italy where FH lived. His cousin owns a catering hall/ Vineyard/hotel. Here is there site.http://www.polveredirose.it/ It's all in italian but you can see the pics of the place. it's beautiful!! and the grounds around it.

Y aknow what though? I went to a ceremony at St. Pats, and i thought, while gorgeous, it was reaaaaaaaaally impersonal. They don't close it down for just you....so NYC tourists are in the back of the church taking pics of your wedding!! It was kinda weird...

Yup i just walked in one day, i think i was with family visiting and when we went inside there was a wedding going on...Don't get me wrong i think its gorgeous but it was also a litte bit weird, the couple is in the middle part and you don't have the greatest view of them, and theres so much going on, people walking on the side visiting. Its gorgeous though but i agree with you

St pats is nice, but that does sound totally impersonal.

If money wasn't a factor at all, I would probably have a destination wedding on a tropical island.

Hudson Theatre on broadway. It's a theatre converted into a reception hall. You sit at table where the normal seating would be and the stage is the dance floor. I would have decorated it like Phantom and had it near Valentine's Day. I think it would have been great because we got engaged durng phantom.

That is so sweet! I love Broadway....I am going to see Phantom in 3 weeks!

I went to a wedding recently in coconut grove right by miami, i actually think coconut grove is nicer...There ceremony was gorgeous it was right on the water and the place was beautiful too, cocktail hour outside, but of course like most places outside of NY there is not alot of food for CH like here.

But actually i would really suggest coconut grove to people who want to go on vacation , maybe get away for the weekend...I wasn't a fan of florida until i went there, we stayed at an amazing hotel, and CG was just so beautiful, so much fun and lots to do.

Oh my god my dream was the St. Patricks/Plaza as well!! I knew I couldn't get the Plaza, but was thiiiiis close to getting St. Pats... Its nearly impossible to get approved, but my FH's great grandfather built one of the alters there so they were going to give us special consideration BUT turns out they don't do ceremonies on Sundays (when we are getting married). So that was out of the question!!
I was really really bummed at first but then thought about all the points you guys mentioned and I'll be saving some money, so I don't feel as bad about it anymroe!!!

If money was no factor, i would keep everything the way we are doing it. I would not go all out, spending so much on one day is just not something me or FH thinks is a good idea.

We are redoing our home, top to bottom so we do have hundreds of thousands but we just want to use it to redo our home.

well, well, well Nicole. I'm gonna call you TheFutureMrsMoneyBags!

So instead of wasting your money on the house - give some to Bon to go to Milan, some to me to get a band, some to Kerry for St Pats, etc.... Spread the loooooooooooooove man!

I want to win the lotto now.
