...a lot of pearls...should my earings have pearls too? I am really not a huge fan of pearls, and there are also crystals on my dress too...should I go for pearl earings instead?

I would go with pearls... anything else might look a little strange considering the dress has a lot of pearls. . . if the crystals and pearls are about even you could probably do crystal/dimaondy type of studs. if you're doing a necklace i would go with one pearl on a chain, not a strand..that might be too much.

you can do a combo of both crystals and pearls... or a very small amount of pearls... dont wear something just because you feel like you have to in order to match... wear something that you love!

Ooooh, I forgot to add...
My necklace will be an heirloom necklace made up from the diamond of my grandmother's engagement ring...no pearls. Would it look ridiculous to have pearl earrings w/ a diamond necklace? Maybe the earrings don't have to match the dress exactly, but I think the necklace and earrings should at least compliment each other.

I dont know if this helps at all,
but my dress had crystals and small pearls on it...
for my necklace I wore my the diamond from my mom's engagement ring (she had made it into a necklace for me when i graduated college)
and these were the earrings I wore...
I also wore a bracelet that was 5 strands of crystals...
