That sounds good. It gives you time to do seating chart/place cards and to give your hall the count early.

That is good so that if you need to call people that did not RSVP you will have time before you need to tell the hall the amount of people.

we gave it a bit more than a month - our wedding is the 30th we said september 18 maybe we will actually get the stragglers by the end of september then - just a thought

I got married Oct. 24th and my RSVP I believe was around Sept. 25th! You need time to do those dam seating charts..LOL

Don't do more than 4-5 weeks before. Too much changes and you will have to redo things.
People don't know their plans that early either so you'll have more no shows if you have a date too early. There isn't much you need to do before 4 weeks anyway

We ordered our inivitations today as well!! yeah!! We were wondering too about the RSVP date. we just did it about a month before the wedding.
