I hardly ever start a post on the boards but I was thinking today if there was one thing you could change about your Reception Hall what would it be?

I know most of us feel that our RH is perfect but there is always that little something we wish we could change.

Well I am getting married at JerichoTerrace and I wish they had better grounds to take pictures, as soon as you pull into the entrance there I will be in my white dress taking pics for all to see!

If there was one thing, I think it'd up the lighting just a bit & move teh dance floor to the center of the room, not the side.

I wouldd make the room bigger but have it cost the same price! LOL
and i would make the dance floor in the center of the tables instead of to the side......

my RH is really awesome, so there's nothing I'd change about that aspect. I WOULD, however, like to change the honeymoon suite that it comes with. There's an entire motel connected, where they have nice rooms for guests as well as one really good suite for the Bride & Groom. The outside of the motel just isn't pretty (even tho the rooms are awesome). That's something I'd definitely change!! Thank God the reception grounds are beautiful. I guess that's all that really matters. It's just that motel side. Eeek. Not my favorite.

The dining room at Danford's is to the side of the ballroom -- i would have preferred the tables surround the dance floor but now I am actually glad that people can go from table to table to converse. They don't have gardens and such for pictures, but we are avid sailors and plan on taking our pictures on their own private dock/marina. other than that, i really love that we chose it! -- we were there the first night we met; it's where we got engaged as well :) I am glad that they have their own hotel as we are getting married over Labor Day weekend and have a lot of overnight guests

i love my RH but one thing I would change is how low the ceiling is in the main room...they are a bit lower than i would like.

we got married just north of albany and things are soooo different up there and the place we chose was great i wish i had a separate area for the CH, but everyone i talked to loved being in the RH for CH cuz everyone that wanted a seat had a seat, but i always pictured a separate spot like all the weddings down here

Hmm I really can't think of anything! I'm from the North Fork so I love having it so close but a lot of my guests will probably wish it wasn't so far out East- lol!
