Are you getting limos? FH & I are going round & round about this. It's not about the cost but he feels that they are unnecessary. We are getting ready at family member's houses that are only 5-10 minutes from RH then taking pics and everything at the RH. I was also thinking of putting on my dress at the RH. I think we might need them. What do you think?

ps-has anyone heard of getting limos for only an hour? We won't need it more than that.

We got married at the RH, and it's in our town! So we did not do limos, because it made NO sense for us. We saved a bunch!

Thanks everyone! You are all so helpful! I'm forwarding this thread to FH, hopefully we can make a decision. It sounds like in our situation it is best to get the limo. If its only like $500 bucks it seems worth it to me. I'll definately call anyone you girls suggest so keep 'em coming!

We got a limo. We are getting ready at the hotel which is 20 minutes away from RH. We are having the limo make 3 trips: 1. FH and groomsmen; 2. Bridal party 3. Parents.

no...my hair and makeup is getting done at my house and then I am driving to my hall to get dressed...so I dont need the limo because I will not have my dress on at that point...my dress will be at the hall waiting for me..LOL

We're not getting limos. My side of the wedding party is getting ready at the place since they have a huge bridal suite.

We decided to get limos. We cant get to the RH before 6 (our wedding is at 8:30pm) which would mean we would have no day time photos. We have to go to another location prior to the ceremoney. The only way plans would change is if no one books the RH for the earlier slot. Then we could all get dressed there and take all of our pics there. Then we wont need limos.

We didn't get limos. My mom drove me in the morning in her Honda Civic (I got dressed at the RH.) And we left af the end of the day in our truck! I am glad we didn't spend the money. Though if we HAD gotten a car I would have just opted for a towncar.

Nope. We'll use the shuttle we hire to take the guests to the RH, just earlier. We didn't want the extra expense for the sake of a couple of pictures.

We decided to get limo SUV's for both the guys and girls.(pick up/drop off) We are also getting a hummer to pick us all up after the wedding (20 of us). I did not want our families or BP to have to worry about how they were getting back to the hotel. It was cheaper for me to do it this way then to hire a shuttle or add the shuttle cost onto their hotel room price.

We are getting limos... but then again we are all staying at a hotel in CT. We're having one limo for girls in the BP, one limo for guys in the BP, and one limo for immediate family.
I think-however- if I was going to be in NY, I'd probably do limos anyway. I'm really against drunk driving and I want my fam and BP to be able to enjoy themselves without me freaking out all night about how they are going to get home.

we only got one quote for a point a to point b pick up drop off, it was 500, but we also got quotes for 750 for three hours...id rather not have one at all then pay 500 for an hour... you have to get quotes and weight the pros and cons I think
the quotes are serioiusly insane... this is what we're going through right now (yep, extremely last min) and we just cannot justify the $$ ... I'm going to call cab service today and see what options they can give me.... otheriwse, we'll take the hotel's shuttle... i dont care anymore at this point
