Re: If ya HAD... ( fun question)
I would have invited all of our guests from our B list. Then we would have been able to reach the minimum on the reception hall I originally wanted (which was also more $$). And I would have paid for everyones hotel rooms.

Re: If ya HAD... ( fun question)
A weekend wedding with events scheduled up until the last minute. Complete with a carnival theme in the day a casino theme at night and for the wedding itself, OMG, lots of flowers, limos, non-stop food, drinks, a real designer dress- Vera Wang would be nice... I could go on and on, but then my budget would quickly jump into the millions...

Re: If ya HAD... ( fun question)
For starters, I would have paid for all of the bridal parties dresses/shoes/tuxes, makeup/hair.Then, I'd fly everyone down to the islands for a weekend destination wedding.
Finally, I would have extended the honeymoon to three or four weeks!
Uh, oh-I think I'm over budget

Re: If ya HAD... ( fun question)
I budgeted my make believe money
$5000 More flowers
$15,000 A Once in a lifetime 4 week Honeymoon (like Thrilled, one does not exist becaue we just bought a house and are due to close the same month as the wedding)
$20,000 on A REALLLY expensive wedding band (not the music kind, the diamond kind)
AND the one thing that I really want but cannot and will not justify spending money on:
$10,000 A lighting designer
edited to say
I just went back and reread everyone else's posts.
WOW. I'm selfish!!

Re: If ya HAD... ( fun question)
I would have my wedding at Disney World possibly still wouldnt be enough to fly everyone there though. How much fun this would be? Maybe give everyone a plane voucher for certain amount of money or hotel voucher to help them out. Since it still would not be enough to fly them all there.or
if I did it home, I would buy all the girls dresses and guys tuxedos.
Maybe get a bigger place and invite more people since I would have more money to spend.
Maybe have reception at Hotel and extend the party in a party room after we can rent out.
I dont know what else, I dont think I would change any vendors maybe upgrade some stuff. I liked everyone we have picked. This is a hard question.
Maybe have those lil individual cakes - they are so cute.
and of course spend more on Honeymoon ! ! !

Re: If ya HAD... ( fun question)
Sheesh!!! I wouldn't even know!!! I'd probably exaggerate EVERYTHING, from my dress, to BP gifts, to flowers, to photos!!! I'd go all out and NOT feel guilty about the money I'm spending! And I'd use the extra money to take a REALLY long HONEYMOON!!!! I don't know where, but I know it would be REALLY long! This is a fun question, really has me thinking!

Re: If ya HAD... ( fun question)
this thread reminds me of the Lotto commercials...if I had a million dollars...I'd buy you a house...and if I had a million dollars....I sing that to my husband and son everyday now!

Re: If ya HAD... ( fun question)
I think I would get a little something extra added on to the coctail hour. MY FH would love us to add on a raw bar to the coctail hour but it is too much money. All in all I think I would use the extra money to buy new bedroom furniture or put it towards a house.

Re: If ya HAD... ( fun question)
I would fly both families to someplace like St. Lucia and have a destination wedding. Keep everyone there for a few days of partying and the DH and I would continue on our HM

This is how we would spend the extra $50,000*More Flowers
*Hire a classic car for us
*String trio at the ceremony
*jazz band at the cocktail hour
*upgrade everything at the reception site
*upgrade the honeymoon
*put everyone up in a nearby hotel, provide transportation and a post wedding breakfst
*pay for the bridal party attire and get them bigger gifts
