I just know that my sister had a bird cage at her wedding for the cards and all of our older relatives were saying (not to my sister but to me and my mom behind her back) they'd never seen it before and just thought it was a really rude thing. If you think about it - it seems that the bride and groom just want you to drop the envelope in there - like they can't be bothered with going around and saying hello to everyone and thank them for coming. Again - this is just my opinion - I just feel it's rude and almost cold. I don't want to give off that impression - that we don't have the time to go around and say hello to everyone. I mean the boxes and photo cubes you all make are so beautiful - I just would never have one.

We used a photobox that was on display behind our table. Our guests really enjoyed seeing all of the pics of us. We did not have a single guest drop the card in the box. Throughout the reception everyone gave us or our parents the cards, which we put in the box. With all of the horror stories about people stealing envelopes, it's a good idea to have something to put the cards in or one designated person to watch them the whole night.
