If you are packing to move out...

did you have a lot of furniture to bring?
My FH and I have our bedroom sets and an old couch of his parents and a TV , DVD etc., my mother is giving us an extra kitchen table & chairs.

I don't think we're going to have enough money to buy our bedroom set and other things for awhile.

How did you get by? Any stores for cheap essential furniture?

We bought all new furniture at Levitz and Seamans. We put it on credit card because it is interest free for I think 2 years. We paid it off after the wedding:)

Pier 1 has great sales and if you don't have an account and get instant credit, you get another 10%. We just got a couch and chair on clearance. With the sale price and the 10% extra off we are paying a little over $700 for the two pieces. They have a lot of very nice things on clearance now.

I have a friend who got some really nice pieces by checking the classifieds and getting to moving and garage sales early on Sat morning.

Macy's has a decent clearance center as well.

We are probably just going to try and get by with minimal furniture for a bit. Since we are closing shortly and still have much $ to pay off the wedding. As we can, we'll buy. I want to get things we like, you know.
