I you can't go to the wedding because you truely cannot make it, but can go to the shower, then definitely go to the shower.

If you are saying NO to the wedding because you don't want to go, then I wouldnt go to the shower either.

Did that make any sense? I think I confused myself!

one of my coworkers did that for another cowrkers wedding.
she really wanted to go to the wedding but had another one the same day.

i would only go if I was clsoe with the person.

I would also. I was in the situation of the other way around. I couldn't make the shower, but attended the wedding. In either case though I would of course send a gift or $$ for the wedding..

There really is no reason not to, it's not like they WANT to miss your wedding, right?

no. ..one will be on her honeymoon (she is getting married the week before me) and the other has her best friends kid's Bah Mitzvah (sp)..

just sitting her thinking of my shower wondering who will be there

My aunt & cousin came to my shower and cannot come to the wedding because they will be on a cruise.

We just had a shower here in St Louis and it gave us a chance to celebrate with those who can't make it to NY for the wedding. So I would say YES!!!
