If you can't have a rehearsal at your site the day before...

If you can't have a rehearsal at your site the day before...

What are you doing? Or what have you done? My FH and I are beginning to look around for rehearsal dinner places and we were wondering if we should have some sort of mini-rehearsal in Central Park or another park nearby.

Will you have a quick rehearsal the day of the wedding? I'm a clumsy fool and can see myself tripping my way down the runner.

Thanks in advance for answers and help.

Thanks for asking the question first!
I am having the same issue -- and would love to hear suggestions!

I got married on July 5th and my church was closed on July 4th, so I couldn't have my rehearsal the day before. At first I was bummed, but then I just readjusted my plans and we had the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner on July 3rd and we had a huge BBQ at my parents house the night before the wedding. It worked out so well and I got to extend my wedding celebrating a bit, too

well if you and your fh were planning on seeing eachother beforehand for picture purposes or whatever - I have heard of brides and grooms doing this early before the real wedding on the actual day.

We're doing ours the weekend before b/c a lot of our BP is from out of town and it's easier for most of them to come out on the weekend.

We are going to do a rehearsal run through, BUT we're not doing it at the hall.. we're having pizza (fi proposed to me on a pizza pie)and going through, what everyone should do etc..

We're having our rehearsal a whole week before the wedding. I managed to get the hall to squeeze me in for 15-20 mins to do a run through and then we're off to a restaurant in long beach for the dinner.

We're gettingm arried at the hall on a Saturday afternoon, so we dcouldnt' do it early in the day, and can't do it on a weekend because the hall has events and wouldn't be able to help us.
So we're doing it the Thursday before the wedding....which happens to be April Fool's Day as well!!! We're going to be having some fun with our bridal party!!!!

I was wondering why he was on a pizza pie??? I assume the RING was on the pie and not your FH

That sounds like a cute story, please elaborate. Inquiring minds want to know.

We did a quick run through before the ceremony.

We did also. We were lined up and told what to do. Then next thing I knew, my father was escorting me down the aisle! Everything went very smoothly. The officiant will direct the party at the front and most of the guests are looking toward the back anyway so if someone in the front messes up, very few people will see it. However, our ceremony only lasted about 25 minutes, so a rehearsal was really not necessary. But we did have a pre-nuptial dinner the night before.

We're going to have the rehearsal the day of the wedding. Since we're having an evening ceremony, FH and I decided to see each other before for pictures, so we'll do the rehearsal then.

We had our ceremony at our hall so we weren't able to have a rehersal. We had rehersal dinner the night before so everyone could meet & we could give them there gifts & such. The day of DH & I did see each other, so I guess we could have had a real rehersal then, but basically what we did was just have our officiant tell everyone were they needed to be & anything they might need to do(officiants do this stuff all the time so its pretty easyfor them to talk someone thru). Everything ran perfectly, honestly I don't think a rehersal is necessary. Our officiant personalized our ceremony with us, so we knew all the details of it ourselves anyway.
