What was the one thing that you really stressed out over that no one even noticed?

Some of the additions to the foods, table cards, minor details.

My horah! I was so caught up in the moment that they picked me up and not my DH and when it was all done, I was like huh? I wish I could redo that moment because it was very important to me. In the video you see DH looking around for people to pick him up.....

Did you use a DOC and feel that they were 100% necessary or do you think that your event would have been the same without them. If you didn't use a DOC did your Maitre D and Bridal Attendants take care of everything you needed? Can't wait for your answers and your review!!!!

I had a DOC and if you are taking pics in parks, getting ready at a hotel, have a time line to keep up, minor details to attend to then yes they are well worth it. Mine were a godsend and kept me sane throughout the morning.

I opted for a DOC for many reasons:

-my mom has a very nervous personality I was scared of this at the wedding.... i let my DOC know... and honestly the DOC put my mom at ease too!

- I have a HUGE family and was taking all family pix after church and before CH.. my DOC and her TWO assistants handled all of this

- any issues were handled by her.... I literally had not ONE worry leading up to the reception-- i forgot to buy a unity candle holder. So i told her to just forgo the unity candle. When i got to the church I was surprised to see it all set up. She went out and bought one for me. When my cake was wrong it was ultimately my DOC's approach that made me say C'est la vie-- it is what it is. When my vases were missing LED lights.... again it was my DOC who took care of the problem.

- back to my huge family.... it is customary in my family for the WHOLE family to come to the brides house and watch her exit so i knew there was going to be mass confusion the morning of the wedding. My DOC kept everyone on time and moving. It was controlled chaos :)

- do your research with DOC's. Dont just go with someone that everyone else is going with. Its YOUR wedding and you need to find the right DOC that suits your needs. I loved my DOC because she had done work on a much larger scale. Organizing events for carnegie hall etc...

I would have taken more family pictures during cocktail hour.

We just sat and eat in the bridal suite and instead I could of been taking family time with my family.

The Bridal Attendant was carrying my dress so it wouldnt drag on the floor.

I would have a DOC to deal with all the BS that my dad had to deal with AND when my gut told me to change photographers, I would have listened to it and cancelled my contract!!!!

Aisle runner. We did finish it but forgot it at home! Nobody missed it. I didn't even miss it until I was halfway down the aisle and I just thought 'Hmmm... there's no runner under my feet- curiouser curiouser. Oh well. Hey look, there's Dan!'

ETA: I also wanted to do cry packs for the church, but didn't get around to it and just decided to let that project go. Wasn't missed by anyone.

We did not use a DOC and I feel that mostly they are unnecessary. If you're having your wedding at a catering hall that does a lot of weddings, it's unnecessary. Even if you decide to do so much DIY stuff that you need two mini vans to deliver everything to your RH. Our maitre'd was a-m-a-z-i-n-g. We arrived and went through all of our stuff with him and he took notes. Then we walked through the room and talked about where everything should be set up. I know they say maitre'd tips are exorbitant, but honestly, it's not. He worked hard for his tip and earned every penny. We tipped him about $5/guest.

Honestly, just the whole day over. I don't think I'd change a thing. I might make time to take photos with my extended family like we did with DH's, but otherwise, nothing different. I loved every minute of it and it just went by far too quickly. I'd love to re-do the ceremony, too. Actually, that's what I'd do differently. I hate videographers at weddings so we opted not to have one. I wish we had one for the ceremony only. I was so nervous and on cloud nine that it was a blur and you can only gather so much from photos.

Saved the most money were my invitations! I found awesome deals on all my card stock and envelopes - only spent about $100 on all the supplies to make them.

love your invites, I am about to tackle this myself. Where did you get you paper goods?

Michaels was having a huge card stock sale, so I got the blue from there and the white from AC Moore. I found the evelopes online somewhere, but I can't recall the website name right now.

The one moment of the wedding I wish I could relive would is the one moment after the church, pics, and before the cocktail. Dh and I just got to take it all in for minute before we were pulled to so something again.

I have been told over and over that I need to just stop and take in whats happening around me....and honestly, those are some of my favorite moments from my day. One was walking down the aisle at church....I will never forget that moment. Another was at the hall when our DJ had us get up on the speakers to dance. We had an overview of the whole crowd and the feeling that all those people were there to celebrate with us was unbelievable.
