Re: If you could do it over....

I’ve been realllllllllly lucky so far and have had to deal with minimal drama (knock on wood!) so I’d probably keep everything the same.

def just fly to the carib with closest fam... have a small maybe 25 person guestlist and be absolutely relaxed... i can honestly say i hated the planning... and would never do it again (if that situation ever arose) if you paid me... it is such a freakin waste... at the end of the day, you're still married to the person you love whether you spent a million dollars or $0

ITA!!! I do not enjoy any part of planning this wedding and I would never do it again.

Re: If you could do it over....

I think I would do it exactly as I am doing it. I'm too traditional to run off to an island, as nice as that may have been. Maybe I wouldn't have been inviting so many extended relatives and kept it just a hair smaller, if minimums weren't an issue.

Re: If you could do it over....

I was freaking about the money while we were planning this thing. However, once it was all over, it was the time of my life and I wouldn't have changed it for anything. I would do it over again in a heartbeat.

Elope. Elope...and have I mentioned , elope?

Between all the family drama and the money I could be saving....I would have rather have eloped, done a trash the dress shoot and gone on our planned honeymoon.

At this point, I could care less about everything, just want to marry FH. Maybe I'm having a 'I hate the wedding' day.

OR....probably a better idea.

immediate family and close friends at a ceremony and dinner at our favorite restaurant in Kew Gardens....50 people total. Coulda, woulda, shoulda.

ITA with this!!! I got bullied by my family to have the large wedding and now i'm stuck with all the planning while they twittle their thumbs..argh.

Same here.. my mom guilted me into it and my FMIL swore she would not sit on the same plane as her ex (and now she probably wont come anyways)

Re: If you could do it over....

Its worth it but I feel that for some people it isnt about getting married anymore... but the big event of the wedding is more important..... if that makes sense..

I have dreamt of my wedding my whole life and so have my parents. I am an only child so this is their only chance too. I wouldn't do it any differently.

Agree on all counts! I too, am an only child and this has been my dream for as long as I could speak. I am thrilled, but I wont lie, stressed too! However, as many breakdowns as I am having I know that it will be all worth it! I cant wait... and honestly, even with the stress, it has been a LOT of fun to plan!

Re: If you could do it over....

i would do everything 100% the same... we talked about the wedding so much before hand that we knew exactly what we wanted and it let us not have all the drama of what to pick, who to use, etc. we also have a short engagement so when things have to get done, they just have to get done!

i am totally loving everything about my wedding. although i am a little nervous that i'm too calm! HAHA
