My FI is one of the few people I know that truly LOVES his profession. He is great at what he does, compassionate, and just truly loves his work.

I wish I could be that way.

This is a tough decision. I'm happy with what Im doing, and the perosn I decided to spend the rest of my life with.
There are some guys I wish I never dated, but looking back on it, I dont really regret, just say to myself what did I see in him. But everyone makes mistakes like that, and you learn from them. I dont think I would have done anything differently. I studies the best I could when I was in school.

I would have been more thoughtful towards some of my friends.

Other than that, nothing, because I think that every life experience whether good or bad, and even the ones we regret. shape who you become and overall I'm pretty happy with how I turned out.

Kathi,
DH is also one of those people. He absolutely LOVES his job. So much so that he says he doesn't even mind getting up at 4am to go to work every day.

Definately would have finished school.
Would say wouldn't have married my ex-husband, but then I wouldn't have my son, so forget that

One thing: finished my BA. I'm finishing now at NYU and while it's great and I love it, I think about where I would be today in my professsion if I had my BA. I'm very, very lucky in that I have a job in which most of my colleagues have a Master's.

Other things: not worried so much, been more carefree. I was (and am) a constant worrier and sometimes, esp. in my twenties, I wish I had done the 'kid' thing to do, and not been so responsible!

Really listened to my older relative's stories and WRITTEN them down! I remember a lot, but not everything, and boy did they have some great ones!

I definitely would have not maxed out my credit cards too! We would have had a lot more in the bank after the wedding if I hadn't had to pay them off But now I can say I am debt free

I would have taken better care of my body when I was younger!

I would have never stayed in a 8 year relationship througout my 20's

I would have made wiser choices in friendships!

I would have taken the time years ago to get to really know my younger sister! We are so close now and she is really a wonderful person and I should have realized this years and years ago!

I would have given my stepmother a chance when my father first met her! She sometimes does more for me than my own mother, she truly treats me and my sister as her own children and it took me years to see that

This is a great thread!

I would have admitted by feelings for my FH 1 12 years before I actually did. We didn't speak for 8 months because he dated a friend of mine when he thought I wouldn't date him and I was so jealous that I couldn't handle it and stopped speaking to him for a while. Had I admitted how I felt, we could have started dating sooner and maybe be married already. I feel like I lost some time I wish I had

For the 'lawyers and lawyers -to be' group, for what it's worth, I am HAPPY that I went to Law School. Once the Bar is 5 years behind you and you are working at a firm or office that you are happy at, you will be happy too. And pround of yourselves!!!

I wouldn't change a thing. I belive that everything happens for a reason. So if I didn't go through what I have I wouldn't be who I am today.

I would have gone to college after high school instead of getting married almost right away. However....I would not change it because I wouldn't have had my kids and I surely wouldn't give them up .

The person that I am today is a compilation of all the experiences that I have had both good and bad and I wouldn't change who I am today!!!
