If you couldn't attend a wedding that you were invited to
when do you send a gift -- before or after? I would like to get it done (before) but I feel funny sending a card that says 'CONGRATULATIONS!' when they aren't getting married for another few weeks.

You can do either. If you feel funny sending a gift before they get married then send it after the wedding. But I don't think they will think it's weird if it gets there before the wedding.

I would either send it with my RSVP card or a separate card in the weeks leading up to the wedding.

i would send a check before. plus they know theyre not married yet so its fine to send a card that says congrats. im sure they'll understand it

If I can't make a wedding, I usually buy a congratulations wedding card and include a check, along with my RSVP card.
