If you did your own programs, how did you bind them?

I'm doing my programs, and have the final draft done -- when I go to staple them in the middle, the stapler doesn't reach. I have them on 8 1/2 x 11 paper folded in half and I have a regular stapler.

Am I making sense here? How is this done? Do I need a special stapler?

I have tassels to put on the binding but they won't stay together well without being stapled I think.

Thanks for any advice.

I punched two holes and tied them with ribbon.

I plan on doing the same. I copied the idea from a friend of mine.

FYI - they see heart shaped hole punchers in AC Moore. I'll probably use that and tie ribbon into the heart holes.

Re: If you did your own programs, how did you bind them?

If ribbon along the edge doesn't work (although it should - since that is how Laura from LA Productions put together the programs for WOTY), I will punch holes to string the ribbon through and then tie it.

We used a hole puncher to punch holes in the crease and tied a ribbon.
