how much are you spending or has spent on your wedding? did u go under or over your budget?

Around 60k.... Most of the money is because of the number of people coming.... or should I say the number of people we think will say yes... and I really hope we are right about the nos! Thats not including honeymoon.

Our guest list is like 350 and we expect around 270. If we had around 100 people, our wedding would have cost around 31k. Be careful who you send STD too. If I could go back in time, I would not have sent them to everyone I sent them too. There were places I could cut and save money... people I haven't seen in months and don't feel I need to invite... but I backed myself into a corner with the STD. You don't think things are going to change in a year... but thats because you never really looked at how everything is constantly changing. Its not that those other people aren't our friends anymore, but the dynamics have changed and I wish we had stuck to our closest friends only. Hindsight is 20/20... but maybe someone else can benefit from hearing about my mistake?

I am hoping (PRAYING!) to end up around 45K for the wedding but the HM is a whole different story- We never made a budget and it is looking like it will end up being at least another 12-15K. Some days I wish we would have had a small destination wedding like I wanted!!!!!!!!!!! We are about 20K over what I wanted to spend but when I made the budget I did not realize FH had 160 guests on his list alone

Definitely possible. A lot of what couples spend on weddings is on unneccessary extras, not to say you shouldn't have them if that is what you want and if it's within your personal budget, but you can absolutely have a beautiful wedding for 20k.

Everything came out to roughly $65,000. There are so many things that determine what you will spend though. We had 250+ guests on a Sat night and had a band instead of a dj... those 2 elements are prob why we spent so much. It's kind of sickening to think that all that money is gone so quickly though!!

it could be possible... but not when you have a guest list of 350... then its pretty much impossible (even if you dont do unneccessary extras).. we are WAY WAYYY over 20K

very possible to spend 20k-25k... really depends on your guest list, & how much per person.. other than that... limos, pictures video, flowers & dress can be done for VERY reasonable pricing.. and without going cheesy... I have researched alot! and trust me.. its doable

we are only about 4K over budget... but thats because i added some extras i didn't realize i wanted in the beginning (string quartet, extra linens...s tuff like that)

i refuse to total it all up after i got around 60K i stopped counting - i am pretty sure the total def goes up to 100K if i include the e-ring, the watch i got DH for the wedding and the money we spent on the HM.....

we had what i think is a small wedding - 150 people - and we spent A LOT sometimes i get upset when i think of all the things we could have done with the money BUT i loved our wedding and i wouldn't take it back....
