If you had to choose one of these halls

FH & I are having a hard time making up our minds, we have to limit it to 4 by thanksgiving so that we can make appointments to view w/ his parents between then & the new year...

I like something different about each place and I can't pick my 2, FH alreay has his two picked

What are you looking for exactly? I know for me it was important to have a place with only one wedding at a time so I opted against swan club and jericho terrace

To me, the most important things were the price (it had to be LOW) and being the only wedding. so for that, i would choose the george washington manor and the milleridge... i looked at both and loved them both... but ended up going somewhere that beat their prices, but offered much of the same thing...

OK, so price is all the same. Perhaps it might be easier letting us know what you DON'T like about these places. Remember your wedding is your wedding. I would vote for the place I selected but that would not do you any good because we may have different reasons.

So, let us know what you don't like about these places and we'll help you from there.

Re: If you had to choose one of these halls

did u ask any of the places for a tasting?

i went to visit the metropolitan and they said they would personally do a tasting for us if we had doubts and were going to go with another vendor because they think their food is comprable to other 'pricier' places. i liked that the place was different...but i didnt like the 'outdoor' part...and i cant decide if i liked or didnt like the band on the stage thing.

i went to a wedding at clm and a formal (both in the bigger room)....the food and service were both good. i personally like clm

i went to a shower at the milleridge a few yrs ago...the food was good.

go with the advise other ppl gave me...where do u picture yourself having your first dance etc?

what overall feeling are u going for??? like more modern, more clubby, more traditional, historic, etc...

The Swan Club has excellent food, excellent prices and gorgeous scenery. I also was torn between CLM and CBC. Swan Club allows you to do a tasting. Check out beautyq115's review and CLM0m7906.

I voted for the Metropolitan!! It's different & the food is amazing!! We would've booked there, but for the # we're inviting it might be too crowded (I think they'd only comfortably fit 160 or so).

I'm not all that familiar with any of them, but I have read rave reviews of CLM!

I like the GWM but, I went to a wedding there a few years ago. There were about 120-130 guests and the cocktail hour room was really packed, it was hard to move.

The rest of the wedding was wonderful though!

Well the minimums for some of those places are higher than that... that's why I asked. The Metropolitan, for example, has a 140 min on Saturdays and a 120 minimum on other days...

I love jericho terrace. That was our 1st choice untill we went to westbury manor. But Jericho is beautiful. I just went to a wedding there and it's was great!!
