The Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum. It's right across from the Museum of Fine Arts and it blows it away! JT works there as a control officer and he's been there for a year and I am embarrassed to say this past weekend was the first time I've gone. It's BREATH TAKING! It used to be Mrs. Gardener's home and in her will she asked that it never be changed, so they don't collect any new works. It's also home to one of the largest museum heists ever. And it only happened in 1990. It's VERY interesting. They have the frames of the stolen paintings still hanging becuase they are priceless as well. Here's a little blurb from their website about the heist: 1990 Mar 18th On the night of March 18, 1990, a pair of thieves disguised as Boston police officers entered the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and roamed the galleries, stealing thirteen works of art, including: Rembrandt's Storm on the Sea of Galilee (1633), A Lady and Gentleman in Black (1633) and a Self-Portrait (1634); Vermeer's The Concert (1658-1660); Govaert Flinck's Landscape with an Obelisk (1638); five drawings by the Impressionist artist Edgar Degas; and Edouard Manet's Chez Tortoni (1878-1880). The works have not yet been recovered.

I also wanted to add for those who are getting married at the Bourne Masnion or those who have been there, they have a room in the museum that looks EXACTLY like the blue room in the Bourne. Of course I was facinated, but maybe no one else would be
