If you have a maid of honor and a matron

How are they walking down the isle? I was thinking together, or one by one. I dont know. My sis is my maid my best friend is my matron. I don't want to hurt either one of thier feelings. Any suggestions?

Re: If you have a maid of honor and a matron

I am having each- although my matron may not be able to attend.. as she is due 6 days before the wedding- but that's a different story.

We have an uneven wedding party. I was thinking that my two MOHs would walk down the aisle with the Best Man- who is FH's best friend.. his other best man is his brother, who will be walking down with FH's sister.

Re: If you have a maid of honor and a matron

My sister is my matron of honor and her daughter (my god-daughter) is my maid of honor. I wanted my sister to walk down last, but since my niece and I have such a close bond, my sister wants her to be the last one walking down the aisle before me.

Re: If you have a maid of honor and a matron

going into the ceremony matron than maid
leaving together on one groomsmans arm - one on each side - that is how they are being introduced too as to not upset anyone this way they are equal

Re: If you have a maid of honor and a matron

I paired my Matron up with the Best Man for Height reasons (BIL is short). For that reason and that reason alone Maid walked in first by herself, followed by the Matron by herself. When everyone recessed, the Maid walked out with a GM (we had an even party, just two Honor attendants from the girls and one from the boys), and the Matron walked out with the Best Man. No one's feelings were hurt, and I made it very clear over the course of the day that I had TWO honor attendants.

I am in the exact same situation. I am having my best friend as witness because she is older, my sister is under age. I am not sure if that helps or not.

Re: If you have a maid of honor and a matron

I think I'm going to have them walk separately, one by one. My sis could walk with her Dh who is also in the wedding party, but I want it stressed that she's important!

Walking out, the maid of honor (my best friend) will probably walk out with the est man because we're all the same age, etc and that way my sister can walk out with her hubby.

Re: If you have a maid of honor and a matron

I am going to have them walk down together and after have them walk back down one with the best man and the other with a groomsman.
A few years ago i was 1 of 2 MOH's and that is what we did and it worked out great!
