I was in a wedding last July in Pheonix, and the bride had us wear Addidas sneakers instead of shoes... thoughtful, but I would have rathered wore sandals or something, cause my feet felt so warm in them! But they were useful!

I've been in a number of bp's & although the day of jewelry was nice (I rarely ever wore it again); I received Ray Ban sunglasses but they really weren't my style, crystal pictureframe (nice but I don't know), pearls (very nice) and my SIL gave us monogrammed silver bracelets that were very nice.
I like the spa idea posted above & also the day of hair/make-up, although perhaps the girls would want something 'concrete' to remember that day & your wedding.
I love the idea of making your own card for the girls...that truly does mean the most.

I got a beautiful silver heart jewlery bow with rhinestones and my name engraved on it. I use it and thinks its very pretty and sawit for $9.99 somewhere! I couldnt believe it!!

My favorite gift was a bath robe that the bride had monogrammed with our names. I still use it today!!!

My favorite was perfume. The bride inconspicuoulsy found out what we all prefered and bought us each a bottle. It was great...until I dropped it on my bathroom floor. IMHO, I think jewelry (as well as a shawl) has been the least useful gift I have gotten. I feel it is more for the bride than the bridesmaid. Plus, no matter what it is. I never seem to wear it again!

I once got beautiful stationary with my name engraved on it and the envelopes had my address engraved as well. I thought it was such a nice idea - useful, personal. She also gave us earrings which I've used for other formal events. But the stationary always sticks out in my mind.

I've only been in 2 weddings. (This July will be 3) The best thing I ever received was a beautiful necklace and earring set from my sister. I absolutely LOVE it!!!!!!!! I'm going to be wearing it for my wedding.
