if you know any elderly or people who have bad health....
please check on then and help then with the snow! It's this type of sporatic, VERY straining activity that causes heart attacks, hurt backs, etc.
PLEASE WARN people not to lift too much, and not to shovel if they are overweight, have heart problems.
Make sure the elderly are wearing proper shoes and dressed warmly too!!!!!

Also, if they have pets...offer to take them out for them. It's very dangerous for the elderly to be out walking around in this weather. I saw this on the news this morning and it made a lot of sense.

whenever we have snow my brothers and father go over to help my grandparents shovel ebcuase they are WAY too old to do it and WAY too stubborn to ask for help!

This weather is very dangerous for the elderly. The ER gets filled with people who fall, chest pain after shoveling, ect. Even young guys like 40 or so wind up having heart attacks. Be careful everyone!
