if you only needed bo-ks, corsages, bouts, etc (had non-flower CPs)

What florist did you go with?

Someone local that you trusted or a wedding florist (possibly a LIW vendor)?

Which gave you the best prices?

I have wreath/candle CPs, so i only need my Bo-Ks, corsages, and bouts. My church prohibits rose petals, so I don't have to worry about that. The church's interior will already be decorated for Thanksgiving, so I won't need floral arrangements for the church. If I decide to go w/ pew bows, I'm sure my Mom will help me make them.

So it looks like I'll only need
1 Bride bo-k
1 MOH
2 BM
6 bouts
3 corsages
(I want to stick with all roses)

Any florist recommendations and/or approx. costs? Thanks!!!

eta: I'm in the Kings Park, Smithtown, Commack, Northport area, if anyone has any specific recommendations. The only florist I won't use is James Cress, due to a personal family conflict.

we used a local florist (not a LIW vendor)
flowers by voegler in merrick.

i had DIY candelabra centerpieces.

I'm thinking a local florist makes sense, because I live 1 mile from my church, so we'll be in my town all day (until the recep at night)...but I don't want to be disappointed compared to the standard wedding florist Bo-Ks, you know what I mean? Am I making any sense?

here are some pics of my beautiful flowers!
the boks were placed around the cake. the arrangements next to the sweetheart table were originally infront of the chuppah and then were moved next to our table after theceremony.

wow, those are gorgeous....i love purple flowers! they DEFINITELY won't match my navy BM gowns though!

Ed (who owns the shop) is such a great guy. if u like what i had, give him a call. it cant hurt....
my color theme (as u can tell) was purples, but he will definately be able to work w/ any colors u want....
his stuff is amazing.

if u call him, please tell him that Marnie recommended him.

i guess u could try the more popular LIW floral vendors and see what they would do for u since u dont want floral centerpieces....

there are a bunch of them in suffolk that lots of girls on here are using ones out there....

I used Nancy from Open House Country in Stony Brook... she isnt a local flower shop florist, she does events and weddings and stuff.... i did not do CPs from her, because we did candles... my bo-ks were amazing though!!! (there are pics in my review)

personally, for bo-ks i would rather go to a florist that specializes in weddings because they have more experiences with making bo-ks then a local florist would... i would think the local florist shop would be better at Centerpieces, since they do arrangements all the time... but who knows if i know what im really talking about... as long as you are comfortable with the person you are working with, that is all that matters!

My brother got only Bo-k's, Bout's, and corsages for his wedding, and he used Burton's in Melville. They gave him a great price. I also heard great things about LA Blossom and Simple Elegance in West Babylon.

BTW, if you wanted to get pew bows, you can buy them from oriental trading for really cheap.

My friend got married and only used a local flower shop (too far from you) but however her bo-k's were absolutely gorgeous ( i dont remember the bouts or the corsages ) It was just a trusted florist that we have gone to for years for prom flowers, random flowers, gifts blah blah blah

I'm concerned about delivery. If I use a 'wedding florist', my order would be very small to them, so I'm wondering if they'd deliver all the way out to me.

I already ran it by the house florist at Fox Hollow, and he said he couldn't do the delivery for me.
