If you parents are divorced and dating someone.. please help

My parents are divorced.... I am not even sure if my dad is coming to the wedding yet ( a whole other story) But my mom is coming with her bf of 5 years.

How do I have the dj introduce them as they walk in?? they are not married or engaged...

My mom and her SO were 'escorted by '
and my dad w/SO was 'accompanied by'

I don't know the circumstances of your parents but I have also seen some divorced parents walk in with each other as parents of the bride

I was in the same boat...til my Mom decided to get married to her BF of 6 years...today. Yes, they are getting married TODAY in Virginia no less...and I cant be there

but thats another story. But... I was going to introduce them as 'mother of the bride Yvonee so-and-so escorted by John so-and-so' everyone who knows me knows who John is in my life so I wasnt worried about it.

yeah I think thats a good way to do it. you could say 'now introducing mother of the bride and stepfather of the bride Mr & Mrs so-and-so' or something like that - depends on what kind of relationship you have with your step dad

i think my father will have a problem with announcing my stepfather - my parents are not on good terms w/ each other - i was thinking of skipping the parents intro alltogether because of this.

You know what, why not ask your DJ or MC how they usually do that sort of thing? I'm sure they've been down this road before and can probably offer suggestions.

You could say 'mother of the bride Mrs. Jane Doe escorted by Mr. John Doe' so their last names are connected but he isnt referenced as your stepdad.
