If you registered and got gifts from Fortunoffs...

Three things:

1) Things were marked as bought on my registery but I didn't receive them. Do you think people just kept the gifts or could it be a mistake on the store's part?

2) Do you think I can exchange a broken glass for a new one?

3) Can I return something that wasn't on my registery without a receipt??

1. Could be. Stranger things have happened with Fortunoffs registry lately

2. Yes, you should absolutely be able to.

3. Yes, we returned stuff off our registry without a receipt.

Everything from fortunoffs has this little bar code tag that acts as a gift recipt. so you should be able to return anything.

I have a question too- is there any way to tell who bought u a gift????

I got a mystery gift and I would love to thank the sender, but there was no card!

if something was taken off, i can only assume someone bought you something and just hasn't given it to you yet.

you should definitely be able to return broken glasses, especially if they were on your registry. and you should be able to return gifts, at least for a store credit! HTH

Fortunoff's actually keeps a list of who bought things from your registry in their computer and the date that it was bought, as long as the guest was willing to provide their information (otherwise it goes under your name)
For example, I had something come off my registry that I never received and I was concerned that it got lost in the mail. I went to Fortunoffs with my registry returns (no receipt = no problem) and she told me when it was bought and what else was purchased in the same transaction. I figured out that my friend liked something from my registry and she picked it up for herself. (She had even made a comment about it at the shower that I completely missed).

It depends how they purchased it. If it was ordered online, they will be able to tell you who bought it.

Fortunoff can print out a list of all the gifts purchased. If it was purchased with a credit card the name will be available. If it was purchased with cash you might not know who purchased it.

You know what, i have something on my fortunoff registry that shows it was bought before my shower and didn't receive it i have to check the boxes at fh's house and maybe it was in a box with something else and i didnt notice it...Such as if it was in the box with the towels but on the bottom, not sure how likely this is but i wondered about it right after the shower and forgot though. Maybe it was a computer glitch though

you can definitely return anything purchased on the registry without a receipt. my sister had a lot of things to return with no receipt and no problem as long as it was within the 90 days after the wedding.

she also had a chipped dish and they exchanged it without a problem.

Stuff on the registry could be purchased for wedding gifts--we have already received 2 in the mail....and I think some other stuff people have already bought and will give us as wedding gifts...

this happened to me. i called them and they were able to tell me right away who purchased the gift.

Several gifts that say completed on my registry were not given to me at the shower because they were still waiting to be shipped out by Fortunoff.
This could be why you didn't get it. I would call customer service and they can most likely tell you who and when purchased it and when it would arrive if it was an online purchased item.
