If you Registered at 2 Places....

How did you break down what to get at each store?

I am going to register very soon at BB&B and Macy's.

If I am going to register most of my stuff at BB&B than what do I get from Macy's?

This may sound stupid, but I just want to know what you did.

I would do china, glasses, silverware, appliances etc. at Macy's.

Then fun gadgets, bedding, linens and house decor stuff at BB&B.

I'm sure there will be some of the same stuff at both, that' ok. If I had that, I registered for it at the place it was less expensive.

Well I am at 4 places...We registered at Macys for everyday china only b/c they had it in stock...We registered for kitchen stuff at BBandB and then formal china and waterford at Fortunoff

I got my my formal dinner stuff (china, flatware and stemware) at MACY's and Fortunoff because not everyone on my lost has access to both stores.

Pots and cookware at MACYS

APPLIANCES at Fortunoff

Everyday stuff - Crate and Barrel

BAKEWARE - Williams-Sonoma

we did 2 also - bb&b and crate and barrel. we did bed and bath at bb&b. and plates, cups and all that jazz at c&b. we originally registered for casual/everyday dishware at bb&b, but saw much nicer stuff at c&b

I am only registered at BB&B. They now have fine china as well. If you feel more comfortable at Macy's for the fine china then go for it. Macy's I believe has a huge selection of china then BB&B.

Couldn't have said it better myself! That's exactly what FH and I did. It all worked out...so far!

We did three places:

Crate and Barrel - China and kitchen stuff
Bed Bath and Beyond - Linens and more kitchen stuff
Simon Pearce - Glasses and flatware

My mom's entire family lives in rural Virginia and they have a limited selection of stores there. So my mom suggested I move half of everything from C and B to BB&B so they could have the option of purchasing from the registry. It is really making things more confusing, but, whatever.

We registered at Bed Bath & Beyond and Fortunoffs.

Fortunoffs: Bath Towels, China, Crystal, Good Silver, coffee pot, etc

Bed & Bath: Kitchen towels, most of my gadgets, everyday dishes, everyday silverware

FYI- I had a friend who only registered at Macys for 2 things.. she figured she had nothing to loose

We registered at BBB and Macys also. Unfortunatley, we found that BBB had more of a selection so we got most of our stuff from them. We got our luggage and some of the appliances from Macys.

I also took into consideration who had what in stock...I didn't want my guests to have to special order things (unless it was absolitely necessary)

We registered at Macy's and Fortunoff. We registered for our china at Macy's because it's always on sale and listed at a cheaper price than Fortunoff. We also did our cutlery, bakeware, and some serveware at Macy's. We registered for bedding, bath, cookware, stemware, etc. at Fortunoff.

I registered almost all my stuff at BBB - cause it was cheaper and there are more BBBs around the country. The only items I really put on my Macys registry were items that were exclusive to Macys - like Hotel Collection towels, etc.

I am definitely not evenly divided - BBB has about 90% and Macys and Pottery Barn have about 5% each

The majority of my items are at BB&B. Fortunoff's has my everday dishes & my cookware. Otherwise, all my appliances, bedding, household items are all in BB&B
