yup! we put a lot of duplicates on our registries. but only for the items that we really wanted!

No, actually we didn't. Maybe we should have, because people are buying mainly from BB&B, and not our Macy's registry. There's only 1 item (our knife set) that was bought from Macys so far.

I didn't do that, I put different things on each of the registries. Some things you can only get in one store or the other. What if people buy off both of your lists? Won't you have 2 of everything?

I was a shameless registry peeker. when I saw something was purchased, I deleted it off the other registry.
like I said, we only did this with items that we really wanted. I didn't get any doubles.

we didn't we pretty much split the items between the two places, and mixed and matched from different areas so there was an equal mix of price ranges on each
No, we didn't. the whole reason we reigstered at 2 differernt places was to get varying items. Also, I don't want duplicate gifts. Most people will look up both registeries anyway and go to where is conveinent for them and/or go by what they can afford/want to spend.

no I think that would be too hard to mantain and then there would be too ma ny dups. I did my china and glasses at fortunoff and my towels and appliances at BB& B

No..I ended up putting more formal stuff on one registry and entertaining type stuff on the other.
