Re: If you saw DH before the ceremony for photos....
It was perfectly timed. My photographer planned the whole day starting from when she arrived at my house to when the guys had to leave to go to the photo location. Once she gave us those times we were able to easily plan everything leading up to that (hair and makeup... when the BP needed to be where they needed to be... when flowers needed to arrive... etc.).

Re: If you saw DH before the ceremony for photos....
i think the timeline we have is pretty solid....
how long did it take for each person to have hair and make up done? 30 mins for each? 1 hr for each? thats the only variable - but im going to be ready first no matter what hahaha but im trying to do it so that my Mom, and both MOHs are ready when I am ready so that they can help me dress....then my FMIL and best friend will have hair and make up done last - while i'm either taking my solo pics or pics with my parents.....then i'll go see FH....i just love my photographer so i want to have lots of time with her....although everytime i take pics with her im always pooped after hahahahaha

Re: If you saw DH before the ceremony for photos....
our timing was actually spot on. my girls and i stayed at the hotel the night before, woke up at 430. hair and make up girls arrived at 5am, photographer and videographer arrived at 7 am. our plan was to be at the RH by 9, but we got there around 930 instead. our ceremony started at 1130, so that gave us 2 hours to take pics which was actually plenty. we had our 'seeing each other for the first time' moment, took pics w/ family and BP, took pics outside, and were done by 1045, so we even had time to do a quick rehearsal of the ceremony.

i didnt see DH before the ceremony
but I was SOOO early to my ceremony. i was there 30 min before the start time
it was mostly because my hair person thought i was having more people get their hair done so she was there super early.
everyone was done, dressed and waiting around, which was a little nerve racking i just wanted to get up and GO!!! but we still had fun.

Re: If you saw DH before the ceremony for photos....
I'm definitely not allowing FH to see me before the ceremony - not that i believe it's bad luck, i just feel like it's a very special moment when the Groom sees his Bride for the first time coming down the aisle. HOWEVER, I was the MOH at my friend's wedding this Summer and they did all their pics beforehand (which a lot of people do). Everything went perfect with that. Hair, make-up. It's basically the same as if you were doing pics AFTER the ceremony (schedule-wise I mean) it's just that things are swapped. The limo came and took us all to the beach for photos. Afterwards we went to the church and the reception followed directly after. My only complaint was that by the time we got to the church, nothing was 'fresh' anymore and my hair was a little wind-blown from pics on the beach. Woulda been nice to have done that AFTER walking down the aisle. lol. But what are ya gonna do?

yeah - i will actually be ready for about 6 hours before the ceremony! im doing all my solo photos, then photos with my parents, then seeing FH and doing pics with him for 2 hours then pics with our bridal party and parents - then i have 1 hour before the ceremony to freshen up....so that is a long time that ill be dressed and ready - i hope i still look good when i walk down the aisle!

Re: If you saw DH before the ceremony for photos....
We got ready together at our house. We woke up together, hair and makeup came to the house, and then our bridal party came. Our photog and video arrived as well, and we took tons of pics and then headed over to OWG, We were very early all day. We arrived at Sans Souci early as well.
Our morning was great, we woke up together, he was so helpful with getting the food and stuff set up for our bridal party and just directing everyone where to go as they arrived at the house.

I saw him before and the day went very very very smoothly. First pics with girls then met him alone, just the two of us. The photographer got stots of our 'meeting'. Then I got a break and he took pics with GM. Next, group shots. Finally wedding and ceremony. We didn't leave the room once to take any pics and we danced all day. I wouldn't have changed it for the world!

Re: If you saw DH before the ceremony for photos....
The day pretty much went as planned...my sisters , FMIL and FSIL and I woke up at 4 AM and our makeup and hair ladies came at 5, the photog at 7 (I think). The limo had to wait for us about 20 minutes though bec. we ran a bit late at that point....limo was there at 8 or so to take us to Land's End....I hear this is normal though!!!

Re: If you saw DH before the ceremony for photos....
We did pictures before the ceremony because we knew both of us would want to greet our guests and say hi to everyone right after the ceremony. Also, we both changed before the cocktail hour (we had traditional indian garb for the ceremony and DH wanted a tux for the reception).
It wasn't hectic at all. The photographer gave my hair/makeup person the timeline and she worked backwards from there. She knew what time we had to start getting ready in order to be ready for pics.

Totally agree!!!! My ceremony was at 5pm, we went to the swan club at 3pm for pictures, photographer got to the hotel for me at 1230pm hair and makeup got there at 10am. We ended up being early. Everything was right on schedule.
