okay here is my q for you girls who have or are skipping your sugar pills to rearrage af so you dont get your period on or around the wedding. i am on nuvaring...... just started.recently. so 3 weeks is up and i decided not to get my period and just insert a new nuvaring.... so it will work out that i will get af a week before the wedding...yeah!!!!
whether its nuvaring or regular birthcontrol pills.... when you take them continuously..... do you feel kinda sicky for a while???
meaning right now i should be full flowing kwim? but i am not and i feel as though i DO have my period.... i feel crampy and tired and tummy hurts.... ya know how it is.
has anyone had this? does it go away after a while or will i just feel all kinds of crazy hormonal crap until i finish up the next 3 weeks and get my period?? ty!!!
never done this before!!

ive skipped a bunch of times but i am on the pill
i never feel queasy or anything BUT maybe its in your head bc you feel like it SHOULD be that time for you??
I am not sure about the ring though. . . maybe its different?

i only skipped once but the whole time i started the new pack i got AF! I dont understand how/why but it sucked because i got it for twice as long as i was supposed to. i'm not sure about the ring...did you consult your dr to make sure it was okay to skip?

I skipped AF b/c she was due two days before my wedding. I didn't have any side effects from starting my next pack of pills. BUT the cramps I got the following month were worse than usual.

one word of advice--DO NOT DO THIS WITHOUT YOUR DOCTOR'S APPROVAL!!! i stupidly listened to my friends about how to play around with it and wound up getting AF in the middle of the HM! i just spoke with my doc and she laughed at me! (at least she didn't yell!) but now my cycle is all messed up. don't play around with this stuff the way i did...

I tried this and I didn't get full blown AF, but I did have spotting for the entire freakin month That was real fun while I was in Cancun for a week! And I didn't feel like I had AF except that I was moody

i dont thin doing that is smart at all, and your doctor should not advocate that, especially when that means you are playing around with your hormones... and the reason i know this is b./c i am a registered nurse. and i dont think you should play around with your body like that, especially if you dont know what you are doing. and people shouldnt encourage you to mess around with your bc pills.

It depends on the type of pill you have. I'm on ortho tri cyclen and I can't do it because each week of pills has different hormones. My sister is on Yasmin, which only has one type of hormone and does it all the time. Talk to your doctor before you do anything

I do it with Yasmin sometimes, and I do feel like I have my period even though I don't. I take a pamprin or something if I really need to.

I've been on NuvaRing for 7 months now, and am going to Florida in 2 weeeks. I asked my Dr. about doing this and he said that he didn't reccommend it because a) the influx of extra horomones in my system at a time where there isn't supposed to be might make me sick with 'flu' symptoms (fever, throwing up etc.) and b) Unfortunatly even if I did do it, he said that I might wind up getting my period anyway, maybe not as much, but it would still be there because my body might just override everything and do what it wants.
So the 1st 4 days of my 7 day trip I'll have AF.

i'm on the pill and have skipped lots of times. i've never felt sick from it.

I wouldn't mess with the hormones, honestly. BC pills aren't as neutral to your body as people think.
