If you use a contemporary song to walk away from ceremony...
...can you use a classic one when you walk down (ie- Pacabell). I love the idea of a contemporary song at the end, but I don't know if it goes with something so traditional.
Anyone mixing the two? thoughts?

I think for the recessional you definitely can use something more contemporary and lighter because the recessional marks the end of the solemn ceremony and the start of the party. Lots of girls are doing the Beatles 'All you Need is Love' like they did in Love Actually.

I'm going all contemporary, but I think doing both would sound fine too. Actually I think that would sound really cool!!

Yes, I'm doing that! I think mixing up the style of songs is great.

We used classical music for the processional and contemporary music for recessional. It was great!
